High-Efficiency Heating Rebates
NSTAR Gas offers a number of rebates up to $15,000 for customers who purchase and install high efficiency natural gas heating equipment the meets or exceeds efficiency standards.
Warm Air Furnace Rebates:
- $400 rebate with an AFUE of 92 percent or better and an Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM).
- $600 rebate with an AFUE of 94 percent or better and an Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM).
- $800 rebate with an AFUE of 96 percent or better and an Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM).
Forced Hot Water Boilers (85 percent AFUE):
- $500 rebate with an AFUE of 85 percent or better (up to 300 MBH)
- $2,000 rebate with an AFUE of 85 percent or better (301 to 499 MBH)
- $2,500 rebate with an AFUE of 85 percent or better (500 to 999 MBH)
- $3,500 rebate with an AFUE of 85 percent or better (1,000 to 1,700 MBH)
- $5,000 rebate with an AFUE of 85 percent or better (1,700 MHB and larger)
Forced Hot Water Boilers (90 percent AFUE):
- $1,000 rebate with an AFUE of 90 percent or better (up to 300 MBH)
- $3,000 rebate with an AFUE of 90 percent or better (301 to 499 MBH)
- $5,000 rebate with an AFUE of 90 percent or better (500 to 999 MBH)
- $10,000 rebate with an AFUE of 90 percent or better (1,000 to 1,700 MBH)
- $15,000 rebate with an AFUE of 90 percent or better (1,700 to 2,000 MHB)
Other Rebates:
- $500 rebate for Condensing Unit Heaters with 90 percent Thermal Efficiency (up to 300 MBH)
- $1,000 rebate for On-Demand Non-Condensing Units with a minimum AFUE of 85 percent.
- $1,600 rebate for On-Demand Condensing Units with a minimum AFUE of 90 percent.
- $225 rebate for After-Market Boiler Reset Controls that are connected to a natural gas boiler.
- $25 rebate for Steam Traps
- $25 rebate for seven day programmable thermostats.

Mail the completed application along with a copy of the invoice for the equipment purchase and installation. Upon verification of AFUE specifications noted above, a rebate check will be mailed to you. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Program is subject to change without notice.
