Building Operator Certification

Building Operator Certification (BOC)
is a nationally recognized training and
certification program for building operators
offering improved job skills and more
comfortable, energy-efficient facilities. The first of eight classes begins on
April 22. A
full class schedule is available on the Building Operator
Certification web site. You can enroll in this course
online.
Please note, BOC registrants are eligible for tuition rebates from
their sponsoring utility or energy efficiency program provider of $100 upon earning the BOC credential and $200 upon submittal of an approved incentive application for an energy efficiency project at their facility.
The maximum rebate is available is $300.

Energy Benchmarking

The first step to managing the rising cost of energy use is to
understand your facility energy use and identify opportunities for
energy savings. This course will introduce you to resources that are
available to help measure your baseline energy use and compare that
to other comparable facilities. You will learn how to rate your
facilities energy performance and hear about energy efficiency
benchmarking tools and programs that are available including whole
building assessment and plant energy profiling. You can enroll in this course
online.
- Cost: $100 per person for NSTAR business and municipal customers, $150 per person for others
- Date and Time: Wednesday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
