NSTAR At The Ready As Historic Blizzard Impacts New England
NSTAR is prepared to address any storm-related power outages caused by today's crippling blizzard-like conditions once it is safe to do so. Significant snowfall and high winds can bring down trees and limbs, threatening the company's electric system. Customers are encouraged to prepare for prolonged outages that may result from the storm.

The company has pre-staged employees and materials in locations across our service territory. The company has also secured outside crews in advance of the storm, including line workers, troubleshooters and tree crews.

We remind our customers to be safe. Stay clear from all downed power lines and the areas surrounding them. Also, to prevent the build-up of carbon monoxide, please make sure any vents on the outside of your home are completely unobstructed by snow and ice and able to properly ventilate.

We encourage customers whose electric service is affected by the storm to report it by using our "Report an Outage" tool or by calling us at 800-592-2000.

Please visit NSTAR's Storm Center for information on what to do should your power go out, generator safety and more.
