Responding As Winter Storm Continues to Bring Snow,
As the storm continues to batter southeastern
Massachusetts, NSTAR is responding to emergency
situations and assessing system damage when
As of 8 p.m. there were approximately
9,800 customers without power, most in the South
Shore and Cape Cod regions of our service territory
- which were hardest hit by flooding, high winds and
snowfall. Since midnight, approximately 50,000
customers have been restored.
We remind our customers to be safe. Stay clear from all downed power lines and the areas surrounding them.
Also, to prevent the build-up of carbon monoxide, please make sure any vents on
the outside of your home are completely unobstructed by snow and ice and able to properly
